Best way to overcome jetlag? I always set my watch to the destination time as soon as I get on the flight. I also just sleep and eat as I feel like it!
Favourite app at the moment? I love listening to Spotify, and I’ve been YouTubing a bit lately as well.
Best invention for business travellers to date? The wheelie bag. I have a whole wardrobe full of them because I’ve done so many trips, and I also prefer not to check-in luggage. I must be an OK packer, because when my son goes away on Scout camps, he always asks me to pack his bag for him! Favourite country and why? Hong Kong. It’s one of the first countries I travelled to overseas. It reminds me of New York – it’s an Asian New York. It’s got the hustle and bustle, the lights, amazing food, amazing culture and it’s a real melting pot. There is just something really, really special about it.
Airline or hotel you’ve had the best experience with and why? Qantas and that’s because I have been stranded so many times for different reasons, but when you need them, they really do look after you. Hotels I’m not fussed by – it’s not uncommon for me to arrive at an airport and not even know where I’m staying!
First tech gadget or computer game you loved? Oil Panic. It was a Nintendo game where you basically help a guy catch oil from a leaking pipe and put it into a bucket. I was about 10 and I was just fascinated with it.
Top tip for maintaining professional momentum? Plenty of notes and action plans. And positivity. I think we’re all empowered to create our own futures regardless of where we work.
